2024 Symposium wrap up
We extend our thanks to all who attended the 2024 ACDHS Symposium in Melbourne this October. The event was a success, highlighted by an inspiring keynote address from Commonwealth Chief Allied Health Officer, Anita Hobson-Powell (Chief Allied Health Officer, Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care), and an engaging panel discussion with state and territory CAHOs, Mrs Anita Hobson-Powell (Chief Allied Health Officer, Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care), Adj. Prof Liza-Jane McBride (Chief Allied Health Officer, Queensland Health), Dr Ingrid Lensink (Chief Allied and Scientific Health Officer, SA Health), Dr Sue Fitzpatrick (Chief Allied Health Officer, ACT Health) and Ms Jennifer Campbell (Chief Allied Health Officer, WA Department of Health), expertly facilitated by Professor Esther May.
The enthusiasm and engagement from our allied health community, both during the full-day program and at our evening dinner, demonstrated the strength and collaborative spirit of our sector.
The introduction of our inaugural allied health awards added an extra dimension to this year’s symposium, recognising the outstanding contributions of both individuals and teams in our field.
