Featured Speaker: 2018 Australian of the Year, Prof Michelle Simmons
Prof Michelle Simmons will join this year’s Universities Australia Higher Education Conference for the session on “Research frontiers: creating professions of the future”.
This session will look at cutting-edge Australian and global research, and how breakthroughs in these fields will transform our jobs, workplaces, industries and professions.
Professor Simmons will be joined by:
- Professor Steven Tingay Executive Director of the Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy at Curtin University;
- Professor Tanya Monro Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Research and Innovation, University of South Australia; and
- Professor Michael Fuhrer Director, ARC Centre of Excellence in Future Low-Energy Electronics Technologies, Monash University.
The discussion will be lead by QUT Vice-Chancellor Professor Margaret Sheil AO.
